Meet the Owner

Hi and Welcome to Lux Behavioral Health! We provide evidence-based therapy for OCD, anxiety, and related disorders. We are located in North Kingstown, Rhode Island and provide care to both Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

My name is Kelsey Gamble and I am the owner of Lux Behavioral Health. I have been working with individuals with chronic mental illness since 2015 in a variety of settings including group homes, street outreach, community mental health and outpatient therapy. I completed my education with Rhode Island College (BSW 2015) and Simmons University (MSW 2019). I am a licensed clinical social worker (LICSW) and I am licensed to provide care in both RI and MA.

Quality, evidence-based therapeutic treatment for obsessive and compulsive disorder is so hard to find! It has been my mission to provide a safe space where individuals with challenging anxiety disorders can access effective care.

As such, I am trained to provide exposure and response prevention therapy (ERP), inference-based cognitive behavioral therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. I utilize acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectic behavioral therapy and trauma-focused CBT in sessions. I aim to provide effective care for clients who anxiety while consistently remaining trauma-informed in my approach.

My style of therapy is leading with authenticity. I absolutely love this work and this shows in my approach. I enjoy helping clients learn about themselves, their thought patterns and learning why a treatment approach works. My strengths come from genuine sincerity, utilizing humor, making learning about mental health fun, and having moments of laughter even while we do this hard work. I love this work because I’ve lived this work. As someone who has tackled anxiety and OCD in my own life, let me help you overcome yours.

Areas of Expertise: Obsessive compulsive disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Specific Phobias, Major Depressive Disorder and Post-traumatic Stress Disorder.

Core Treatment Approaches: CBT, I-CBT, ERP, DBT, TF-CBT, ACT, Psychodynamic Therapy, Mindfulness, Client-centered

Client populations: LGBTQIA+, poly/open relationships, kink, chronic pain

I may be a therapist but I’d like to think I’m a cool therapist. When I’m not reading or working, I spend my time with friends and family, baking sourdough, playing The Sims, painting and crafting. I have a sarcastic and sometimes dark sense of humor and I truly believe even in the heaviest of sessions, we’ll always find a reason to laugh and smile.

I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey to wellness and healing.
